My brand new psp doesn't register on to my computer, other words my computer doesn't recognize it, Any thoughts on what i can do to fix it?

On your psp after you connect it to your computer do you go on your psp and scroll to the left and select USB connection? That is the only way it will actually register that I would imagine is the problem

yes I have and it loads and all but it gets stuck at the Searching for PSP type A

As long as your version of windows isnt corrupt the only thing i can suggest is try a different USB port. Occasionally the PSP doesn't like being seen through a hub. Does that work?

nothing still it just comes up with the unknown portable device umm if it helps it's a ver. 5.0 and my comp. has the pack #2
