empowerment is attractive. a woman that empowers herself by doing things for herself, or just displaying a mechanical aptitude like you mention, would be very attractive to me.

Not really. In fact if I knew a woman who could fix my leaky toilet so I wouldn't have to pay a plumber with low riding jeans and a "butt crack" to come over and do it next week, I would ask her if she would help me!

Nope, I think it's cool. But that is no trade off for being a lady either. To each their own, but I like feminine women. A girl that cusses a lot, is messy, wears her hair like a boy, etc in unattractive. I'd be into men if that's what I liked.

Now, if she were to be 6 feet tall, 280 pounds, have a hairy beer gut hanging over her belt, sport a beard and mustasche while smoking a cigar as she pulls the engine out of my car with her bare hands...THEN I'll find her unattractive.
