  • Yeah. you should you seem perfectly happy to me. i would get an MRI or something or see a psych to see if you are depressed.
  • Yes, before taking a whole lot of anti-depression drugs, get a second opinion !!
  • There's nothing wrong with seeking a second opinion, especially concerning issues dealing with your psyche. I don't know the situation but it seems like your doc may be grasping for straws trying to figure out what's wrong with you. The process of elimination is not the only way to discover the cause of your problems. You may want to seek out a doctor who knows how to ask the right questions rather than making so many assumptions. My immune system is shot too, but at least I was able to find a doctor who knew what to look for. Celiac disease is a bitch but it was the answer I needed. Good luck man!
  • get yourself to a herbalist, they will ask you loads of questions (some outside the box) and will 'concoct a mixture just for you and your needs, and you will not be taking any naastay chemicals sweetie!!
  • If your immune system is weak, I would definitely go see another doctor and get another opinion. I would even get a third opinion. When it comes to your health, you need to get to the heart of the matter. Why is your immune system weak? Find out. Is it due to a nutritional deficiency, stress, or simply something you were born with? Please Sodapop, get a second opinion. Take good care of yourself. :)
  • It's the same old thing. My doctor used to say I had "normal women problems" and he offered me a prescription for valium. The proper tests finally proved I have a thyroid malfunction, and I am pre-diabetic. Insist on getting more tests, or a new doctor.
  • Your doctor is an ass, get another opinion. Go for more tests!!!
  • Look, its probably a bit of both. I mean you could still have an underlying issue, but at the same time, anyone who has been messed around, misunderstood by their doctor and gone through the agony of waiting to see if its leukaemia actually deserves to be depressed. In fact they'd be a bit weird if the stress hadn't weakened their system at all. When we are emotionally run down, that runs us down physically and vice versa, so its a vicious circle. Take the help he's offering because its going to make things a little easier to cope with, especially if you are going to have to ride this out in order to prove him wrong and get another physical check....
  • I would. Better to find out than worry!
  • Yes, get another opinion; it seems to be a fad or en a cop out anymore for some doctors when they don't want to pursue the cause. In my case, my so called depression turned out to be a neuromuscular disease. I too insisted that I was perfectly happy; don't let 'em talk you out of being happy. :)
  • Yes, by all means, get a second opinion. And check out this site: http://www.markhorn.mymaxsystem.com/ They offer a product that boots your immune system. You might want to check it out. Forrest
  • These might hurt some peoples feelings but these are my opinions.so im sorry if i offend you. First i go to a hospital in near death situations. Because i have lots of doctor friends and they all told me " we all are the same we all work for money and we all wait for our shifts to end as soon as possible...." i dont want to write the rest but the main idea is they are as careless as we are and usually they dont care if you are in pain or if you need help they want you gone as soon as possible. so you should get a second opinion maybe 3. and 4. you can never be sure.
  • They like to say that when they cant figure it out. Because you are sick all the time, the assume you should be depressed, it would do that to the majority, I was sick for a long time and they kept trying to get me to take it also. I do have to admit, yes there were certain days I got depressed, but not enough to warrant taking medicine everyday.
  • Maybe you feel happy at the moment, but always aren't. Maybe sometimes when your not happy, like when your sad or stressed about something it get to you. Not just emotional but psyhical, and you may not notice it. I'm not sure how to explain it.
  • Depression is not just "feeling down". It can emcompass lethargy, confusion, memory loss, sleep disturbance and lack of motivation. But, yes, I would get a second opinion.
