Which lore of mythology seems to be the best to you (ex: Greco-roman, Norse, Chinese, African)? And seriously, why?

When I was in 3rd and 4th grade, half of what I chose to read were Mythologies. Norse, G-R, Egyptian. I thought that the Norse were the best stories. I never have seen many collected African Pantheons, and most of the Chinese that I have seen are less than 30 years old, I think 'cause of the PRC and back before that most of those that went(from the West) to China were to busy selling Christ to listen to the local Myths. I found the Myths of India confusing due to the multi reincarnations of those Gods ...WHO did What WHEN? In the '70s when I took up D+D we needed patron Gods for our Chars. Then I got into the Celtic myth's. SO what kind of best are you looking for; as stories, as literature, as bedrock of belief?
