I'm not sure what you mean by "male" toys other than cars or little army men type toys. If so, then yes it's just fine. I don't see a problem with children of either sex playing with all kinds of toys. I also don't see where an age limit would come into play.

It's perfectly fine. And it's always fine. There's no age limit on having fun.

I think all toys are ok for kids. Let them be who they are, it will show up later in confidence in themselves. My son AND daughter played with both girl and boy toys forever it seems, and their well adjusted concieted teens, like their suppose to be..hahah it's all good, let them have fun.

I'm 53 years old and I've never found any toy to be only for girls or only for boys. I played with everything I wanted to play with. I don't think there is any such thing as gender toys if they are just presented as what they are.

When I was raising my five children, my ex-wife and I simply put all the toys in one room ( except for a few special toys for each child that they grew fond of ), and let them decide what they wanted to play with. My younger daughter use to love toy trains, for one example of what happened, but she also loved dolls. Go figure. : )

I bought our daughter a little Fisher-Price workbench (many years ago) thinking that she would use it as a workbench and not become assigned to any gender-based roles, etc, etc, etc. Her eyes lit up and she said "Oh boy, I can cook on this!" I guess we were too late. She turned out great anyway!

Of course it is and for as long as she/he wants to play with toys!
