News reports say that the Duggars plan to have more children after she gave birth this morning to the 18th child. She is 42. how does a body hold up that many pregnancies. Am i the only one having a problem with this. does common sense not prevail?

I read that too. And all their kids' names start with a "J." And aren't there like 2 or 3 sets of twins? Could you imagine growing up in that family. There is no way that all the children are getting the attention they need from their parents. Especially when there is a 17mnth old and now an infant. What about all the older children dealing with their high school and junior high problems? And talk about living in a siblings shadow or having preset expectations... I could go on and on... What the heck is up with these people that think babies are the best thing that ever happened to the world? How are these people surviving? Do they even get times to themselves, besides when they are having sex for the sole purpose of making more kids... But anyways, to answer your question... I think she may just be lucky? lol I have no idea how she can do it. There's a reason men like women with big hips though lol.

Why do you have a problem with it? Are they your neighbours? Are you expected to babysit for them? Do you know for a fact that they are negligent parents? There is so much sickness and depravity in this world that is heinous and so terrible that it usually defies belief. Animal cruelty, child abuse, human rights deprivation - I could go on and on. Those are the things we should be having a problem with and stressing about, not a happy family who are well within their rights to add to the number of children they have. If they have the financial and emotional means to support that many children, or more, then that is great as far as I am concerned. I don't have a problem with it.

The Duggars are financially secure, they have no debt. They do NOT use any kind of public aid, their kids arent druggies or running wild or anything negative so I dont understand why people are so critical of this family. To me (even though I could never have that many kids personally)they are a shining example of how a loving family should be.

I find it ridiculous. I understand that they are secure financially blah blah. But I still think it's BS I was watching this one thing about a family not much smaller, it was like 15 or something. AND WOW WAS IT STUPID They were called the "Juebs" and the freakin' parents whenever they went out had to yell out "JEUB LINEUP!!" to make sure they had the entire herd. It's RIDICULOUS. And those kids all shared the same birthdya. I mean yeah, they have different birthdays, but the family celebrated them all on the same day. and the mom said this herself "If you're old enough to take care of yourself, you're old enough to have a buddy" Cause she did the buddy system for the little babies. Cause y'know, a mom can't split 14 ways. Now that I think about it, if all of her kids were the same age, her family alone could fill a damned classroom. RIDICULOUS
