  • I don't. Jim does. They are everywhere. Garage, closets, cupboards, under the bed, on top of cabinets. It's one of his endearing "quirks"! :)
  • they are in my closet and i keep bills and other important stuff in the shoe boxes
  • I always save shoe and boot boxes and use them at Christmas to disguise presents or to make irregularly shaped gifts easier to wrap.
  • I have empty shoe boxes lying around. Like I am going to spontaneously decide I desperately need them and randomly start using them. I use a few. One shoe box holds all my favorite memories and sentimental stuff.. I wanted to downgrade from a larger box. I didn't need that many items. It just became... stuff. When I moved the contents into a shoe box and downsized what I had, that shoebox became one of the most precious things I have. And space efficient, to boot <laughs at my own corny joke>
  • They are all over the damn place, full of change. A lot are filled with pennies, half dollars and the new presidential coins. Got all sorts of change and some cash laying around. Don't trust banks. My dog is better at protecting my money.
  • I have a large back poach and thats the catch all room sort of, have been working on it, as its also my PC work area, so that being said there are a number of empty box's from shoes on up, they wind up being used over the yr for many things from sending packages, moving items up to attic, out to big shop etc. Trying to reclaim my space.....lol
  • I used to save shoe boxes, but I've moved on to plastic jars, like the giant peanut butter and miracle whip jars. I think I'm going to use them for leftovers and stuff, but it never happens. Time to dump the plastic jars and move onto something else. Any ideas?
  • We used to go to the grocery store, in days of yore, to get cardboard boxes when needed, but alas, the times have changed and that tradition is dying due to recycling. I, presently, try to keep a small assortment of boxes in the closet, just in case.
  • In the basement. They contain items ranging from sports cards to small toys.
  • I do not have empty shoe boxes I jeep my shoes in their box in a shoe closet with the matching handbags. I had all the shelves built above the hanging rails in a walk in Closet.
  • I have a few shoeboxes filled with coupons. I am a serious couponer and by doing so has saved us a TON with coupons.
  • They are in my closet WAITING to be useful. Within the week I am going to dismantle them and place them in the recycle bin. I waited for 'some' use to jump out at me and now I think they will be better recycled then in my closet taking up space!
  • I just bought 3 new pair of shoes on sale!!!! Two boxes are getting thrown away, one my daughter is saving to make a valentine box!
  • Most are in the closet with important papers, kids drawings, bank statements etc....Others are in the tv room with the granddaughters crayons and markers in them.
  • We save almost all boxes, for shipping many different items. They are stored in a warehouse type room, between the lower hallway and the door to the garage. The room is the size of my bedroom, pretty big and nearly full(except for the walkway through to the garage,anyway...LOL)
  • I save shoe boxes, clean cardboard, and sometimes glass jars. The jelly jars with the nice covers my mom and I save to put beads or colored buttons in on our shelves. I save the cardboard for my rat, gerbil, guinea pigs, and birds. I make their toys with it. It saves me tons of money! I <3 cardboard. Other containers I scoop ice melters with for the dogs or driveway. The other containers I use for spare change and donations.
  • in my closet, i use them to put Christmas gifts in
  • I save small jars - very useful for keeping herbs and spices in and shoeboxes for bills.
  • I have 2 shoe boxes. I keep them on the top shelf in my closet. One is for my A.A. literture stuff (yes, I'm a member of A.A. Been sober for 2 months now!). And the other is for my holiday and birthday cards I get from relatives and friends.
  • All my cardboard containers, metal cans, newspapers and unwanted magazines/junk mail, etc., certain plastics, old gasoline, batteries and other items of no use are sorted as accumulated and taken to my city's recycling center. I hope that everyone who reads this will do their part to recycle whenever possible! We have already trashed our planet unforgivably simply because of our laziness. If you don't recycle YOU are part of the PROBLEM - and NOT a part of the SOLUTION! Take a stand .... GET INVOLVED!
  • I'm a container-aholic. Every time I buy something I ask "Do you have a gift box for that?" so I always have plenty of boxes at Christime. I made a spare bedroom into a craft room and (I gotta laugh) even if you're not into scrapbooking or knitting, people's mouths drop open when they walk into this room. I have so many supplies, and they're all organized in various size containers on shelves and on the walls. Most are clear containers so I can easily see what I've got where. To me, the room is like a piece of art...so bright and colorful, with a big table in the middle, and a door that I can just shut and walk away. Like most collections, there comes a time when you've got to scale it back, so I rarely buy any containers any more. I just kinda move things around when needed.
  • I keep all kinds of boxes and use them for storage Some I use in closets under counters and whereever I have the need. Also love the little decorative ones that can be placed on dressers or counter tops an so on for storeage of small items.
