I havn't thrown a snowball since that big fat mean teacher smashed one in my face when i was 8. I have emotional scars.

In addition I will have a coat with a hood and a sweat shirt with a hood under it. The hat fits under the hoods. I've used it when it was -25°. I also have a one piece snowmobile suit with a hood that I used when I lived in ND. Worked good at minus temperatures. After -30° though it was too cold and no fun. You can wear that.
