  • You can judge a persons character by how they treat other people, but you should never judge a person for what they believe in.
  • Character and belief are two completely different things. When I meet someone, I often judge their character by the way they treat my autistic son. Sometimes I can tell within minutes whether I want them around my family, and sometimes it takes much longer. I generally don't judge beliefs unless they are very hateful, as in blatantly and shamelessly bigoted.
  • Well I say it varies, But useally with in the first few minutes You can get a general idea of someones character. As far as Judging someones views. I Think its imppossable to not be judgemntal...But I think The key to understanding or not the persons views, is to respect there views, even if its sounds idiotic or crazy.
  • I agree with the others that I don't typically judge people for what they believe in (although there are instances where I probably would - like a KKK member or something like that). When I meet a person, I make a judgement on their character fairly quickly (I'd say anywhere from the first minute to ten minutes) based on my first impression and I think that most people do this. However, I do try to keep an open mind and remember that every one deserves a second chance. They might have been having an off day when I met them, or I could have been feeling grumpy at the time and perhaps more judgemental than usual. Most of my first impressions have been proved accurate to me down the road but I still like to give people the benefit of the doubt as I hope they do for me.
  • I think that as you get older you can place people pretty quickly. First impressions for me usually turn out to be right in the long run. I've wasted a lot of years and effort to find out that my first impression was accurate.
  • Not longer than 10 minutes. And researches give proof that we are judging somebody the very first 10 seconds. And after all my experiences the impression of the very first seconds is true.
