  • to do this you need to train your self so it will stop listening to other "voices" or sounds :) its not easy to do and it wont happend at day 1..it will take some time and then you will see that you can relax and meditate normaly :)
  • I get the same problem too, but feel the best way is not to 'listen' to the thoughts, but rather to allow them to come and wash over you. Don't think that you can stop the thoughts coming to you, i'm not sure if that's possible. Be aware that the thoughts are there without conciously thinking about them. By trying to conciously shut them down, you are constantly reminding yourself that the thoughts are there, so it's impossible to shut them down. You will start to formulate your own images and it may start to feel like a dream, and can be very relaxing. I don't think i've explained this very well, but it works for me, mostly. Good luck. That's a really good way of putting it! Like sort of hearing it but not really listening.
  • I find it useful to have a sort of "routine" fantasy - not sexual - that I run through. It starts quite sensible, but as I get sleepier and sleepier it gets sillier and sillier. I say not sexual, but after I save the world for the third time (if I get that far), I am overwhelmed by beautiful women throwing themselves at me.
