Bardstown, Kentucky is picturesque and rich in history. I've often thought it looks like those movie sets that show small towns. Courthouse in the center of town, all the stores and shops around it, etc. The history ties Bardstown to horse racing and is the birthplace of Stephen Foster, the legendary song writer who wrote Kentucky's state song, sung at the beginning of every Derby. Not far away is Hodgenville, the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln.
