What exactly takes place during the three hour block at LDS meetings? I've been to the Sacrament meeting, but what else is there?

Sacrament meeting is usually followed by Sunday School. This is a 40 minute class and there are different subjects that may be covered. Most adults will go to Gospel Doctrine. This is a class that follows a four year cycle of scripture study. Those that are new to the Church will go to Gospel Essentials which focuses on the basic doctrines of the Church. Following this is Priesthood Meeting for the males 12 years or older and Young Women and Relief Society for the females. The classes for the 12-17-year-olds focus on various gospel topic with an emphasis of preparing them for the challenges that they may face as they grow up and become adults. The adult classes focus on the teachings of past and current Church leaders.
