i believe that prayer and meditation hold a power that we as humans cannot understand. They say that prayer heals the soul if you believe that to be true.

yes I do. Praying and meditating lowers stress and is beneficial in many ways. It's been proven by studying monks who meditate daily. Also if we thank God daily for what we have, we come to realize that we have so much and live in gratitude instead of feeling deprived.

I feel that I am blessed by God regardless! I am blessed that I woke up this morning I am blessed that I have breath in my lungs that I have ears to hear music I am blessed for this mess I have to clean up...because that reminds me that I have wonderfully normal kids that know how to play! I am blessed that I can open the fridge and wonder what to eat. I am blessed that I have people who I need to forgive...not only does it give me the chance to grow in faith, it reminds me how good God is, that when I ask Him to, He just does it! Im blessed that I dont just get everything handed to me on a silver plater...how unthankful I would be! I am blessed that daily....I can be angry about injustice, shows me I have a heart of compassion. I am blessed for the tears I cry....tells me I am not as hard hearted as I tend to judge myself to be. But I do feel blessed that people care enough to remember me in prayer!

I did all that for 35 years and nothing so I gave up on the religion and God stuff.. After a while you come to realize that it was just a waste of time and tears and hopes and dreams and the reason prayers were not answered was because he doesn't exist. Sorry to not have answered your question the way you wanted me to.

I notice a signifigant difference in my attitude towards life on the days where my prayer life is stronger. Days that I manage to make it to morning Mass alawys outshine those that I don't. I believe that is the grace of God.

I would be glad that someone felt I was worthy of their prayers, but if they knew me they would know that I dont believe it does any good to heal me or help me or whatever

Yes, I feel very blessed in my life and I try to pray for others, with sincerity, daily but sometimes I don't feel what I feel at other times. I am sincere so I'm not sure why some days I feel my prayers are received and other days, I feel they are not, even though my intentions are good. I know I'm not explaining this well.

I know my parents and grandparents pray for me and my family and that is a great encouragement. I get such a huge blessing and sense of peace, when I spend time in prayer.

Tricky question because you say "is blessed" as opposed to "will be blessed". Sure- your pretty lucky (blessed, gifted, what-have-you) if you've got people in your life who devote thier prayer/meditation time to YOU. If thats how they choose to express thier caring, sincerity would certainly make it even nicer. But, I dont think there are any popularity contests with "higher" powers. I can not imagine a god saying "Oh my! She's getting a ton of prayers- I'd better do something about that one."

Regular prayer keeps the air clear for me. It shows me the blessings I already have and lets me realize when new ones arrive.

I believe that I'm always surrounded by an ocean of blessings, the creative power and love of the Allness / God. I believe that all consciousness is connected, so that when people pray for you and see you whole and free, if you are open to it then it will help your spirit / consciousness to be even more open to the Allness and to further release your ego. This in turn allows you to love and serve others from a selfless place.

It depends on what is prayed about and how much the people who are praying believe their prayers are effective. It doesn't matter if you are religious or not, sending out powerful thoughts to others can have an effect on them.

Yes.The whole world prays in front of an image or a cross or whatever.They collectively power that place and then things work.They have the right to attribute it to that object.Afterall it is only a mirror and the image is our own!Have a great day today,Rick!!

Depends what you mean by "blessed". Do you mean, you will have a closer relationship with God? Yes, I believe that meditation and prayer will be a great blessing. If you mean that prayer and meditation will bring you "good things" like money, fame, etc? I'd have to say not necessarily. Look at Job, in the bible - God called him a "righteous man"...and all kinds of stuff happened to him. For me, prayer and meditation helps me prepare for the really bad stuff that happens in life...so in that way, I am very blessed.

I am blessed whether anyone else prays for me or not because I have a real relationship with the creator of the universe and I hear from him daily through his word, through HIS spirit that lives within me, and through prayer. Peace is worth it all.

I believe I live a blessed life, period. Whether or not others pray for me has nothing to do with it. It is nice to be in people's prayers, certainly. But many of us have no network of people to pray for us..and we are, all of us, blessed beyond belief. :) ((hugs)) At least those of us who have food to eat, a roof over our heads, clothes to wear and others in our lives to love and be loved by. Many have so little. We who have much must at least be grateful and appreciative for that..else, well, if we don't appreciate what we have perhaps one day it will be taken from us and given to those who will appreciate it! :)

Life itself is already a blessing. We have been blessed from the day we are borne. The prayers / meditation we do come as our way of thanking the Great Creator of All. I believe He will continue to bless those who truly have faith. Prayers of the believers don't go unanswered, they may seem not being answered or delayed, but God grants them always at the right time.

The Lord makes the sun to shine on the good and the bad alike... I mean (with that terrible paraphrasing of a Bible verse) that God/Heaven/The Universe pours out tremendous blessings on us all, constantly. The issue is not about being blessed, its about being in a place to be able to see and accept those free gifts. What Christians call sin (A condition of estrangement from God) is effectively a man made cloud; a block between us and the glory that's offered on a constant basis. So yes,if other people wish you well and take steps to call blessing into your life, what they are really doing is clearing the blocks between you and the blessing that's already there, they are chipping away at their personal section of the cloud, so that the sun can get through. If you happen to know what they are doing then you find yourself anticipating blessings to get through, and that works too.

Yes, I do believe it will bring a blessing. At times though what somebody hope for for you in prayer or in meditation may not happen as what they would actually expect. Sometimes it may come so close; sometimes the unexpected happens. Like a change in character. This might come gradually through realization, or the process of realization may come speedily as positive as an instant jackpot millionaire, or as negative as sudden death. Because a blessing then comes in many forms.
