The country, and one day we will :) I have trained in an area where i should be able to find a job regionally, and my partner is doing the same. In a few years we hope to follow the dream. My partner grew up in the country, but I have been a city girl all my life.
-
The country by far. I hate living in the suburbs in the city. I love the country and the lack of streets and man-made buildings everywhere. It's almost depressing sometimes. = [
-
coast, near the beach
-
i don't understand your question, please clarify
-
i would like to live on the coast country, ya know what im sayin?
-
I would live by the coast and go beach combing and take long walks picking up sea shells....i might move now lol.
-
I've lived on the coast, actually right on the beach. I love the mountains, though. I guess the perfect place would be along the British Columbian coastline or Vancouver island...have the best of both. And it would have to be away from people on acreage becasue I haven't lived with near neighbors in years and don't choose, too. Love the wild and privacy.
-
I've always preferred to live in the country. I had to live in a city for a while once and it just reinforced my preference. Cities are too big, too impersonal, too busy and too noisy for me. The ideal is a country village within easy reach of a city for theatres, shops and the like.
-
I prefer the mountains, so i guess country(ish). the city is nice to visit tho so i luv it too. I just am very active and like to snowboard and do sports so its easier in the mountains. plus i watch law and order alot so that has probably got me a bit paranoid lol
-
I like the city. I prefer to walk everywhere and not have a long drive to work or to be stuck in traffic. I also love going to great restaraunts.
-
The city. I am scared of too much land behind my house because I watch too many slasher movies. Plus I am scared to death of spiders and I am not willing to share my home with all the creepy crawlies.
-
I prefer the country lifestyle. I just wish i could have that quiet, relaxed, easygoing way of life in the city. I like the city, it is difficult to find the same peace in, though.
-
Country for me. I just don't think I could change over to all that loud stuff & still get any sleep. Plus the cost of living in the city would eat me up........M.C.S.
-
Have to admit, I'm a city girl. Though I love my weekends in the country and the visits to my relatives in their sleepy little country villages. But I think, at least at the moment without a family on my own, I would just miss to much when moving to the country.
-
Depends which city, and which country.
-
I prefer the country. It's more peaceful after the hussle and bussle of the day.
-
To live in, the country. To visit, the city.
-
When home, I prefer living rurally but when traveling, I prefer cities.
-
Better for what? Each has its charm. I prefer to live in the country.
-
For me, the country. I just don't know what to do with myself in the city. It's just boring and crowded and loud and noisy. TO me the country is life and quiet and nature and beauty and fresh air.
-
I prefer to live in the country, but I always earned my living in the city. So I suppose I think that the country is better to live in and the city is better to make the money you need to sustain your lifestyle.
-
i would like the country because of the air quality and no crime life out there..
-
Country all the way
-
I'm a country girl!!
-
I think where I live is a happy compromise. It isn't a city as such, nor it is "the country" yet it has the qualities as both.
-
I get to live in both the suburbs on weekdays and country on weekends. The country is beautiful, but the suburbs has a neighborhood feel. It's hard to choose, with both good and bad on both sides.
-
Green acres is the place for me. Farm livin' is the life for me. Land spreadin' out so far and wide Keep Manhattan, just give me that countryside
-
Heeeee Haaaaaw!....country
-
Right now, I'll take the city. I'm not ready for all the work that living in the country requires. I used to say I want to live in the country a lot, but now, I've changed my mind. My work ethic must improve first.
-
10 miles north, I'm in a major downtown area. 10 miles south, all country. I think Hannah Montana would refer to this as The Best of Both Worlds.
-
Country totally, out in the wilderness in a cabin out in the woods away from everyone but my husband would be perfect. But i would still like people to visit occasionally:-)
-
I'm going to answer with a picture shot from my sofa looking out the front window. There is not a neighbor for more than a mile in any direction. It actually looks brilliant in the late spring when all the green comes on and the flowers are blooming on the dogwoods. The leaves also silence the road, and all you can hear is whipoorwills and peep frogs singing from the pond after dark. Morning brings cardinals, robins, thrushes, warblers and other songbirds wailing out their music. It's really hard to beat. Besides, you can't leave your cock out on the porch in the city.
-
im thinking the country would be fun :)
-
The country, a hundred times over, (especially since the invention of the "satellite dish")!
-
Country.Today's cities are becoming more busy, polluted, congested and so noisy and the environment itself seems tensed and stressed. On the contrary, most country side is really natural and calm and serene.
-
I'm moving back to the country
-
10 miles north and I'm in the heart of a major city. 10 miles south and it's all farmland, for now. Developing fast. For now, have the best of both worlds.
-
out in the country. I dont live in a BIG city but it's crowded and congested here. I wouldn't mind not having neighbors two feet away from me. The only thing i would hate about the country is the fact that they dont have fine dining and plenty of fancy things to do like a city does
-
I would like living in the country close to a somewhat big city.
-
The city. Absolutely. I live in the country & commute to work in the city every day, and I love the fact that there's always things to do in the city. In the country though, you're alone, with no neighbors or friends, and there's nothing to do. Its even worse if you're single and live in the country like me.. :( I hate the country!!
-
I'd have to say that I would live in the country, and party my *ss off in the big city, whenever I got a wild hair!
-
all of our us army could not get me back into the city
-
the BIIIIG city :D San Fran preferred :D
-
I would live in the country. I prefer the quite and calm life of the country better.
-
In the country but close to a city :)
-
I did make the choice (or at least my ex did). Boy do I miss the city. At least I got the house:)
-
Country life all the way.
-
I would choose the country because that's where i grew up and where i mainly hunded for raccoons, squirrels or either foxes (if possible). I got the raccoons, squirrels or foxes (if possible) for food or for either some good hunting.
-
I prefer the country. I could live in a city, I spent 6 weeks living in Chicago and I adjusted pretty well.
-
I am generally happier among many people than few people and many pigs. However, I love trees, so big cities don't fill all my needs either.
-
A big farm just outside the city limits!! Best of both worlds!!
-
I miss the farm BIG-TIME, and I wish I could go back! One day soon, I hope I can.
-
In the city but i'll try the farm also and see how it works out.
-
what about living in the city but owning a farm 3 hours away... the best of both worlds. get tired of 1 and go to the other.
-
i grew up on a farm/ ranch. then the big city swallowed us and grew up further in a new subdivision. we had the first house in it. it was great, having new kids to play with every month. now that im older, live on a ranchette outside of a large metroplex and have alittle house in town near my folks..( since my mom, was sick of my dogs eating hewr plants when i came visiting).. works out great. just bought a place in the mediterean and live here part of the year...ah the good life...hope i dont go broke... come visit..anytime..even if im not here...keys under the mat...clean up when yall leave
-
i would rather live on a huge farm with hundreds of acers
-
a farm...that will be a sanctuary for unwanted dogs.
-
both works well for me and my family
-
the country' i love nature'
-
Country. I like lots of critters. Dogs, cats, wild animals everywhere and my baby chicks are arriving in a week.
-
City
-
I MUCH prefer the country. I am just happier and more relaxed there :)
-
Country. My 2 cents.
-
country life is living. city life is for those who knows milk comes from a refrigerator instead of a cow.
-
Will somebody get my ass out of the city. PLEASSSSSE!!!
-
never liked city living. I live so far in the country you have to pipe in sunlight :)
-
City Girl all the way.
-
Country wins...hands down! Although that could just be because I was "Raised on Country Sunshine" so to speak! (In other words I grew up in the country.) No, I think that even if I was raised in the city that I would still prefer the country. How could one NOT?? Thanks for asking!
-
Since I'm closer to the country. I prefer the country life.
-
I prefer country life. I like to make trips to the city to see something special but at least I can return home to the country.
-
Country. I grew up so far out in the country that my parents still can't get cable.
-
city by day and country by night
-
"New York is where I'd rather stay. I get allergic smelling hay. I just adore a penthouse view. Darling I love you, but give me Park Avenue." - Green Acres
-
I like small towns. I don't like cities, and I don't like isolation, so I need something in the middle.
-
Suburban. It's the best of both worlds.
-
City.. I want life to be super busy.. so that i can only live in the present and dont have to worry about the future and think of the past.
-
Suburban, because that's how I grew up.
-
I love city life.
-
Suburban
-
The City! I made more money there.
-
I live in a small town, but I go to college in a city. Small town life is pretty boring, and city life is so much more exciting and there is always stuff to do. But sometimes I do wish that I lived in the country... I don't think I would like it all the time, just whenever I was in the mood. It is so peaceful and nice in the country, and you can see the stars...
-
Ive always lived in the city, but i really want to live in a loft home in the country :3
-
Country! I really love peace and quiet.
-
City, but it's only because I can not drive. And living in the country would make me more trapped. If that were not the case, I'd pick country. Because, the peaceful atmosphere is suitable for my well-being.
-
city
-
I prefer, and live in the country.
-
Country by a country mile
-
city
-
Suburb (not the city and not the county, but some place in between).
-
Country.
-
Somewhere in between as I want to have a hobby farm one day
-
I lived in the country for 13 years then moved to town for 2 years. Now I can hardly wait to move back to the country! "Keep Manhatten just give me that countryside"
-
City. I think I'd go nuts with boredom in the country.
-
The country. I love the peaceful existence. It has also proven healthier for me. I have SO much less stress there! And everything is so beautiful :)
-
i'd prefer the suburbs, but that doesn't seem to be an option here, so I'll go city. In the city your needs are met nearby, whereas in the country, there is often a long ride to get anywhere. I think I'd go with the convenience.
-
Grew up in a big city and used to work there as well. Now I]m in a quaint little town (the County Seat) which most people around here think is big. Cracks me up. I miss the vibrancy of a big city and the ability to do almost anything at any hour.
-
Well, I grew up in the country. I've experienced city life and loved it, but now I'm yearning to move outside of town just a little bit -- back to a country setting.
-
My preference is the country. I like peace and quiet, I enjoy clean air, natural scenery, and feeling close to earth. Having said that I realize there are bugs and spiders and creepy-crawly things all around the country that aren't found in the city (mostly). Also, there are no 7-11s, no good eating placies, etc. But the city offers excitement, challenges, opportunities that aren't to be found in the country. It takes a mind set to enjoy the country. I've lived in both and prefer the country, but I live in the city because my wife prefers the city. And I prefer living with my wife.
-
My shack in the Huruma Slums seems to offer a bit of both!
-
i've lived in both places i hate the country because there's nothing to do and everyone knows each other like a freaking family reunion i love the city because there's always something to do and there's so many more people to meet city wins
