Quite a few. Anywhere where you actually need critical thinking the number of atheists (closet or otherwise) would grow.

Probably more than the average percentage of atheists in the US population. That would be more than 12%. However, you don't ever hear from them because 'outing' oneself as atheist is political suicide in the US. That's kinda sad.

I would bet that atheists are overrepresented in the US gov't.

And not just closet atheists, there are many people who aren't open when their faith, unfortunately.

I think there would be a few. Unfortunately, admitting atheism is pretty much committing political suicide. It would be excellent if people voted for candidates based on the politics, as opposed to their faith, and politicians didn't have to hide what they believe.
