I'll say joining the military. I was able to work on myself, become focused, and I learned so many things about life in general that I would not have learned without the experience.

My abandonment, it's taught me the relative behavior and selfishness all people act with, I watch out for myself and my loved ones. Everyone will betray you in some way, minuscule and grandiose. I like being able to see people for what they are, I look up to no one.

The two months spent in 'Umachal Yoga Ashram' on the top of Kamadhya Hills by the side of River Brahmaputra. There The Swami and the Gurus not only perfected my Yoga, they taught me how to look at life the philosophical way. I have weathered many a storm with the experience gained during those two months in 1971.
