Help answer this question below.

I think Batman is the best superhero because his "powers" come from technology. Do you agree, or do you think Batman doesn't really count as a superhero BECAUSE he doesn't have super powers?

    Strictly speaking, Batman's "power" is not technology, but his mind and unnatural drive for vengeance. He's a master of many fields of study, many of which are highly esoteric and complex, a world-class athlete, and a hand-to-hand fighter with skills equal to an advanced black belt in several martial arts. You could drop him buck naked into any situation involving a criminal of some sort and his drive will propel him forward to overcome obstacles that would stop most people cold.

    If THAT isn't super, what is?

    Now, is Batman sane? Nope. But he's OUR obsessive.

    Batman is a sick, twisted man. If you'd read some of the comic you'd understand that he's borederline psychotic. However the super, in superhero has less to do with ones powers, and more to do with their mindsets. Hence Batman is a superhero, and also my FAVORITE superhero of all time. The sick bastard.

    Yes. He is a superhero. Super human abilities aside..Batmna IS a superhero. But there are many shades of grey when it comes to superheroes. For example. I don't think anybody would debate the fact that Superman is a superhero. But if you think about it, he doesn't have super human abilities either. In order to have super human abilities you must first be human. Superman is an alien. Is he a superhero? Hell yeah.

    Batman is not considered a superhero because of his gadgets, but because of the basic principles that define him: a superhuman desire(being honest) to help others, a defining moment of inspiration by another hero (super or otherwise) or of tragedy (the murder of his parents), will continue to try to win, no matter what, and recognizeable attire of some sort (in this case, a costume). The "super" in "superhero" does not mean the character has superpowers, but that the character is superior to "normal" heroes.

    Well, technically yes, he shouldn't be called a "superhero", but his strength, fighting abaility and intelligence is almost unheard of in the real world. So, yes, I won't call him that to avoid confusion but that does not make him realistic.

    green lantern is classed as a super human.
    hawkman has superhuman powers.
    all of which are not inbuilt but rely on tech. gl's ring and 9th metal.so technically he could be super.

    yes i agree, i think batman is a superhero. His amazing skill, rage and quest for vengance makes him 1 of the best vigillanties ever. His superpower is his intelligence, his sick hand to hand combat skills and his awesome gadgets which conveniently helps him in times of need. Last but not least he knows the weaknesses of every1 including yours and mines he is truly the best superhero
