If a teacher says something racist, you should definately tell the school headmaster or president. I get offended when teachers say anything that could be offensive to anyone - teachers are there to offer wisdom and to teach.

OK, the things i've writen below, some may have been gotten a bit differen't in my transeltion from norwegian to english, and i know this is a sore subject for some people, and if someone get's offended by this, that NOT my intension. If a teacher say something considerd as rasisem, you should raport it. Since you say the teacher said the n-word as you call it, i will assume you'r ''black''. i wasn't sure what word i should use here, because only 10 years ago, in norway, no one got affended by the n-word, but becuse people then started to use that name in a negative meaning, that seem offensive to the people it involves. and then we made a new name that was apropirate to say. I know the norwegian once, but not the english once. So hope no one get offended by me using the word black. Coz i saw this episode on bosten public once, where this was an issue, coz the teacher was withe, and he used the n-word. and another teacher who was black, Marla raported it, coz she meant only a black teachers got to say that, not someone who was white. even thoe he used the word with best intension, i still agree with Marla, becuse people can get hurt otherwise. Since you are from Norway, and i know you personly (love yah), tell your teacher to get with the time. That if he/she uses that exact word, u will raport it. coz he/she should be using '' Mørkhudet'', coz that's the word that he/she is supsose to use at this time. (in Norway) we had a discusion about almost the same thing not long ago at school. on what word's you are suppose to use. Many in my famely is black, and i so wante'd to hit my friend's theeths out for somthing she said. People should not discriminate for any reason, for homosexuality, for what color your skin is, or what background you have, or you'r personal meanings. Some people are still so smal minded, but hopefully that will change in the future. okey, people may react one this, both black and white. But i'm gonna say it anyway, and your more than welcome to rate me down. it is a pure scientific fact to: White people that say and do rasisem things to someone , at the end we are all gonna be black anyway, (at least in Norway) Because that gen is dominated. Personly i think thats cool, i always wante'd to be black anyway. People should show more RESPECT, and you should raport that about you'r teaher, if she/he won't listen to you and continues to use that word, even thoe you have said it hurst you.

It sounds awfull a teacher would be even been racist. Cant your record his comments and then show the school principle?

I have had teachers say things against my ethnicity directly to my face with no consequence. It was annoying but there was nothing I could do and I knew it... it is part of life. If it is against a protected ethnicity you can report it to the school authorities. The teacher could be reprimanded or, if it is bad enough, fired.

Hell yeah I get annoyed. Problem is, everyone is racist around where I live. :/

Are they intentionally saying something you find offensive or are you extra sensitive? What is it they say?
