I have a 50" Vizio plasma and when I turn it on there is sometimes a thin pink line on the left side of the screen.

I had this same issue this morning when I woke up. I freaked out. There was a thing pink line down the left of the screen with 4 to 5 small green blocks at the top of the screen. most buttons did not work on the side of the TV and all menu displays were scrambled (menu, and volume). I turned the TV on and off several times and these lines were still there. I had a thought that since this TV is more like a computer than a plain old TV with its power supply and like a computer it may need to have a hard boot. So I pulled the plug waited 30 seconds plugged it back up and turned the TV on and viola all was normal again. I have read some horror stories so every time I see anything like that I always freak out. I hope this helps someone out there.
