I think like with any testimony, things get lost (or added) in translation but I believe the words of Christ to be true.

- None taken, lol. He actually was very old. People before the Great Flood lived much, much longer than people live today. Noah lived to be 950 years of age(Genesis 9:20).

- Back before the flood the earth was much, much different. It is likely that it did not rain before the Great Flood and that the earth got its moisture from a mist in the ground(Genesis 2:5-6). Some believe that because of the atmosphere's condition before the heavens opened and it rained upon the earth for the first time, there was another layer to the atmosphere and the air was perfect. Thus, organisms lived much longer. The ark that Noah built was probably very, very big. Not the small one you see on children's books. So, he would have had enough room to fit all of those animals.

- ok, then where did all that water go? science has prooved that there is not enough water on the earth to cover it completely. and also if it rained on the boat wouldnt it have sunk, with only noah on it to bucket out the water.
  how did the animals survive with eachother on the boat, there would have been a few that would like to eat all the rest.

- He may have had them in seperate rooms. Most likely, as big as the ark was, Noah probably had rooms for the animals, and rooms that carried the food to feed them with. The rain probably did not get into the ark because it most likely had a good, solid roof and walls.   As for the water, it may have simply descended down. We may still have it. None of us know for sure how much water is underneath the earth.

- fair enough, it all sounds fairly logical, but i'm still not convinced. that one man could build a boat that big, live to be 950 years old, and heard up that many animals. and how did he look after them all? animals take feeding, cleaning, clipping, cleaning up stables etc. i just dont think it is possible.

- It is. With God all things are possible. It would be very hard for Noah to do it, but he could manage with God's help. Do not forget that he had his family with him as well.

- I would say so. Just think though, if you were the only human family left alive on earth and had two of each(some seven of each) animal(except fish and water creatures) with you and had to keep them alive otherwise they would go extinct, you would probably be pretty motivated! I know I would!

- I do not know, but then again if they were the only ones left, they would not have much of a choice and the will to live, as well as God's will for humanity to repopulate, would motivate them, probably. Blood relatives marrying and having children together was actually very common back in the days of Genesis.

- I have not even read it all the way through from front to back just yet. I am still working on it, but I have read a large amount of it many times--especailly the New Testament. After reading it and studying it so much, you just start to memorize a lot of things in it easy. :)

You know that they don't give me that much space!

- Creation of the Earth and everything in and on it in 6 days.
- All-powerful Deity.
- Earth-encompassing flood.
- Parting of the Red Sea.
- Feeding 5000 with a couple of fish.
- Man lives in the belly of a fish for days.
- Walking on water without the assistance of some sort of canoe-type footwear.
- Calling fire down out of Heaven.
- Virgin gives birth.
- Three men are thrown into a fiery furnace and survive unscathed.

I think that shall suffice for a while.

Personaly, I dont know why anyone would not believe all of the Bible if they were going to believe any of it. I find it easier to accept someone telling me they dont believe any of it rather than, "Well, I believe somethings, but not all of it." The reason I say that is because the Bible, in my humble opinion, is the true Word of God. A God that cannot lie, so if I am to believe that it is the divinely inspired Word of God, then in order for His credibility to stay in tact, every word has to be true. Not one word or phrase cannot be a lie or the credibility of the whole is tainted. I dont believe God can lie, therefore, I believe it is all truth.

I have never discovered the spiritual value of Song of Songs. I know what people say... but why, really? How did we get THAT and lose the books of Enoch?

- The Book of Enoch contains heretical doctrines of angels interceding for mankind rather than Christ being the only mediator as the Bible teaches us. The Song of Solomon has a lot of spiritual value. It shows us Christ's relationship with His Bride, the Church.

- Really? Thing being that any book of Enoch would have been considered "prophesy" because of, well, timeline. Also, I NEVER trust a website that uses the words "mumbo-jumbo" more than five times in a paragraph. Doesn't strike me a scholarly. True Christian scholars don't need such tones; they are secure in their knowledge. Also, the realize that such obvious negativity in language is totally uncalled-for on a professional level.
  FYI, you will find Enoch mentioned, as a prophet, in the book of Jude. "And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these [men], saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all..." I'm thinking this comes from somewhere in the vicinity of 14 or 15, in case you want to look.
  I know that we don't have it because it was lost by the time canon was being set.

- Yes, I know, but that does not prove that the Book of Enoch is inspired by the Holy Ghost or that Enoch even wrote it. God said that His Word would be preserved for ever and ever.

- I agree that we can learn from many non-canonical books, but I believe that those are non-inspired and works of fallible men. Only the Bible--Genesis to Revelation--Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of the living God if you ask me. The non-canonical books contradict the Scriptures.

I liked everyone's answers on this! I must say that like fairy tales- the bible was written by people- and people are known to have wild imagination and hallucinations(due to fever or other stuff..). now what doesn't make sense to me is the fact that according to the bible the world was created 5000 years ago- so what about all that phisical evidence such as dinosaurs remains- panitings on caves walls that are said to be over 20,000 years old- anyway, I could go on and on, as I am sure anyone can. I say- "it makes you feel better to believe it? that's all that matters". I believe in fairies simply because I like them. I don't need proof, and I don't to be proved wrong- it charms me and that is all I need..
