Who said anyone likes this site? It has the potential to become a real time wikipedia, with people answering questions and searching the interwebs, and yet it is contempt with any random input from people of questionable comprehension of each subject.

I came across it accidentally now im addicted.... it is just fab and there is no harm in it, it's not like a chatroom and i feel it is very safe

Because there's a lot of interesting people on here, and it's a good place to learn new things, and share information. It's also a good place to debate over particular issues. Also, it's a good way to make time go faster when you're bored, and have nothing to do.

For the interaction, the people, the insight. Could do without all the trolls though.

Because I can find other peoples' opinions on matters that perhaps I had not considered myself, and indeed could influence my own. Plus you get to 'meet' new people and stuff. And occasioanlly help someone you've never met.

WE LIKE THIS SITE because it gives you the chance to help or pontificate without the angst of having to go out into the hard world and offend people . We sit home and do it.
