Yes, LOL. That's more proof that God and religion are two different things.

Religious people...yes. Those are the ones spoken of in the BIBLE as the Pharisees and Saducees ...who are quick to point out your sin and faults but see none of their own... A true CHRISTIAN is one who is meek and humble but not a doormat for others to step on and kick around. He is firm about his beliefs but patience with those who don't believe as he does..

I've never really noticed that as a trend in personalities. Religious people are just as diverse between meek and egotistical as most anyone else. That being said though, there are aspects to the doctrines of most contemporary Judeo-Christian faiths that encourage followers to violently suppress and deny their egos rather than coming to terms with them and learn to have balance between self-interest and compassion, rather than just settling for imbalance and believing themselves bad for it.

Humility is one of the Beattitudes. They need to read (or re-read) Matthew.

Yes. I'm surrounded by about 500 of those 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. I know what it looks like, feels like, sounds like & tastes like
-
No, actually, it hasn't. Over-inflated ego is a universal human condition, not exclusive to any particular group.
-
XD I keep referring to Satanism as a religion, but I guess it's more atheism. Anyway, I am the most egoistic person you will ever meet. Well, that's what my christian friends tell me anyway. :P Hail Satan

With all the different religions there are out there, I'm sure you could find a link between a good number of people with big egos and a religion.

I love the Lord and I try and leave my ego at the door. See I know Who's I am. I belong to Him so I am secure not puffed up. Becareful in stating relegious people have big egos. It takes alot of pride or ego just to write this. We are all on a journey and learning we all make mistakes I am sure including yourself and must give room for forgivness. Since we all are made of flesh and flesh makes mistakes. Chow for now.

Quite the opposite. I think it could be a result of low self-esteem and confidence that people give credit to God for great things they have accomplished themselves....and blame God when things go terribly wrong. External locus of control, that is called.
