so, was he saying that you overeat to his female lab partner? sometimes venting can be good for someone, male and female. sometimes innocent relationships are viewed by spouse as threatening and lead to divorce. other times, slimey relationships are viewed by spouse as innocent and lead to ongoing, non-intervened affair. does he show that he cares about you in the same ways that he used to? do you, too? do the two of you still talk about your personal needs and your relationship? good luck!

I think that if the email was about clinicals then you are over reacting and will push him away with your jealous ways.....if the email was also included flirting than that's another story. good luck
-
Hmmm..questionable. First, why would he lie about how long he knew this gal. Secondly, why is he emailing a married woman. The thing that really bugs on this one is that he lied about how long he knew her. Why, what's the point? It makes you wonder what else he could be lying about. There are two ways of looking at it, one, it could be an honest mistake, since there were only 12 emails over the course of two years...or two, he just wanted to cover up how long he knew her for fear of you thinking something of it. Which, in this case, he should be able to tell you if it's not a big deal. Good luck!

The Q is a little confusing. Over-reacting, Honey. Forget it and get on with building the relationship between you. If you become too obsessed, you will lose him. A major part of any success within a relationship is Trust.

Maybe that's why he didn't tell you , they seem to be just friends . From the way you posted your question
-
You really need to put this former lab partner out of your mind before constantly worrying about her makes you ill.
-
I don't tell my man who I chat with all the time,I email and chat with my coworkers and friends all the time, its not necessarily cheating
-
No... Emailing a FRIEND (of EITHER sex) is not cheating, unless the content of the email is sexual in nature - as in cyber-sex, not as in strange things happening to patients. "Put a stop" to his emailing friends, and you may put a stop to your relationship. Few people like jealous, demanding significant others.

Are you saying that he can have no female friends from his past? If "yes" is the answer then you need to get a reality check! We live in a male/female society. He is bound to get into conversations via e-mail and in person with both sexes from time to time. The question of wanting to know how the nursing classes are going seems a pretty benign question to me. If he is in nursing classes, aren't there women in these classes who might ask him questions or just be friendly from time to time? He didn't tell you about this because he knows how emotional you get. I definitely think that you are over reacting. I would predict that you are going to loose him if you don't get a hold of your emotions and give him more breathing room. Try trusting him more, a lot more. He certainly should be able to communicate with whom ever he wants. If it was of a sexual nature, then you two need to talk about it, otherwise, lighten up!! You could cause yourself a nervous breakdown, or heart attack!!

You have been posting this same question in various forms for months now and you say this happened two years ago, seriously, get some professional help.
-
Oh come on! Do you want him to have no contact with the outside world??!!

You don't even let your boyfriend have friends of the opposite sex? I read in a comment that it would hurt you for him to e-mail another girl. Well, that's pretty stupid. It shows just how much you trust him. By your logic, you shouldn't even be on here because you might talk to men. If you can talk to men without cheating on him, what makes you think he can't talk to women without cheating on you? Be fair and quit with the double standards.
-
No, it's not. It's considered a guy who is trying to protect his overprotective, overly insecure, and overly jealous girlfriend's feelings so that she doesn't get her panties in a twist over a little friendly communication.
-
E-mailing her is not the best idea. If she does like your boyfriend, it will just put the idea in her head that he might like her back and she is getting to you. That could lead to absolute disaster. Be careful.
