Truck with a new battery will not start. It does not do anything. The headlights are the only thing electrical that works. It would start with a jump with the old battery but there is nothing with a new one. What could the problem be?

Cables & Terminals are bad. Bad Ground. Scrape the contacts & or wire brush them down to bare metal. With the advent of "Electro-static Painting", we see a lot of ground problems because it's so hard a finish. But U have to get the paint off because the car frame & body have to carry the electricity especially the negative (ground) side of the circuit. John
