  • Listening to a variety of music helps keep me from getting too bored. I love my iPod.
  • A properly set up playlist on your iPod can keep you going. Slow during your warm up, intense, slow, more intense, slow during cool down.
  • listening to music is energizing when youre at the gym. the tv playing in the background can also serve as a distraction. but i find its best to choose physical activities that arent boring to you in the first place ~ for me its swimming, hiking, biking, kayaking, yoga, dancing, etc. and i like doing those kinds of activities with my friends. when its fun it aint exercise anymore!
  • I put on my tape of Credence Clearwater...or whoever else I feel in the mood for. I pump the old exercycle and dumbells to the beat. Well, hey...it works for me. Figure out your own thing....(lol)
  • I have an overactive imagination.
  • Music helps me have a over reactive imagination, I also wanna write a book so it gives me good ideas.
  • If I'm doing some aerobic machine, I usually just count my footsteps. It keeps my mind occupied.
  • I always schedule three sessions a day and keep them short. In stead of working out an hour a day, I work out 20 minutes three times a day.
  • I entertain myself while jogging...like I will run as fast as I can until that particular roadsign...then I'll walk until the next one.
  • I take a wide variety of super intense classes. All I have to do is get myself there. Once there, I don't have time to get bored! The classes are fast-paced, fun and extremely challenging. I also stock a home library of DVDs for additional flexibility in my fitness program.
  • exercising naked could spice things up....ewwwwww hahaha
  • when i run, i always run somewhere interesting - like isolated nature trails. i listen to music and pace myself to the music (so if a really fast song comes on i sprint for a little bit). i also don't do regular exercise routines (like weightlifting in a gym) if i can avoid them. i do kung fu 5 times a week, and sometimes i go rock climbing, hiking, or dancing.
  • Put on music I enjoy, or watch t.v. or a DVD I like.
  • I take an hour walk every day and I don't usually get bored because it allows me to think about things. It's not easy thinking about things while jogging.
  • music!!
  • Music and looking out at the traffic down below on a busy street from my window.
  • i dont exercise, it is too boring.
  • Listen to music, pay attention to something interesting, or exercise harder to take my attention off of my boredom. If your exercising, you might as well make the most of the time spent doing so.
  • It may be weird to say, but I like smiling and laughing at myself while I am working out. Also, with my reps, I alternate with increments, be it sets of ten, twenty or even fifty, and when I switch. For example, I do my 150 reps on each arm, and for the first fifty, I hold the dumbbell vertically and when I switch I go horizontal and back and forth, fifty and fifty. Just get hyper!
  • I suggest DDR!
  • I have a set of values I follow in my routine that stay constant, yet shift focus daily. For example. Mon-Wed-Fri I warm up, do my weights, then running machine, with more emphisis and time on the stretching and weights.....where as Tues and Thurs I shift to focus on the Arobic aspect, I'm not even clear if I've come close to helping you out or answering your question, but when it's written all down, and followed, that in and of itself fends off bordome by introducing a pattern of routine events. That's how I fight bordom, I keep it busy. HAHAHA
  • I'm exercising. How could I be bored with that pool of sweat dripping from my face?
  • Listen to music. Actually i use that for everything cleaning, exercising and just when i'm bored.
  • I watch TV while I do the eliptical machine.
  • I don't do mindless exercising - i play sports like badminton and squash, walk to the stores... "working out" at an expensive gym has never appealed. It's boring.
  • Having a routine. Example. 1.Stretch 2.Arobic (walking machine or any of the arobic machines 3.weights 4. cool down stretching. If you follow these steps, it's over in no time.
  • ... make the exercises the moving part of my moving meditations ... and just keep my mind half blank while I stay half focused on each of my breaths and each of my pulses ...
  • I don't get bored while I exercise. When I exercise, it's difficult, and it requires focus, commitment and determination, so I've got very little to be bored about. I enjoy the exercise itself.
