I have a good collection of audio books, mostly sent to me by my sons. I find them nice as I can relax in an easy chair and listen to them with my eyes closed oblivious to the world around me. In my opinion audio books are best enjoyed within the confines of a room on a surround sound music system and not on an ipod. All of Robert Ludlum's books in their audio version are excellent. I recently listened to 'To killa mocking bird'. That too was excellent. I bought the complete set of Harry Potter audio as I had not read any of them in book form. But I gave up after listening to the 3rd half way.

I borrowed the "Joy of Pi" from the library. It's a wonderful and engaging story (it's NOT about math) and was very entertaining during my morning commute

I have 4 recordings of Huckleberry Finn. And one of Tom Sawyer.

Audio Books I recommend: - Harry Potter Series (all 7 books) - His Dark Materials - The Golden Compass - The Subtle Knife - The Abder Spyglass, and soon to be others. - The Cronicles of Narnia - Twilight Series (movie coming out Nov 08) - Twilight - New Moon - Eclipse (buying today from the store) - Breaking Dawn (buying today from amazon.... 10 day wait, but cheeper) - Midnight Sun: Edward's Version of Twilight (coming out soon) More to come as I read them.

I have an hour commute to and from work, so lately I've been getting audiobooks from the library to listen to. The best one I "read" was "The World Without Us," by Alan Weisman. It was great, but I think some parts would have been a bit tedious to read.
