I have a friend who is vegetarian since his system cannot break down nor tolerate meat. So he gets really, really ill if he eats any.

Im a vegetarian, and im not against killig or eating animals. My reasons: (they may seem strange to some) * I never liked the idea of eating something living, even if I dont mind others doing it. The same way you dont eat rocks; Its not tempting. Its not food to you. (When I say living I mean feeling and thinking, I am aware that plants are so called living too.) * As a child (before 7, as thats when I became a vegetarian) I used to throw it all up again. Kind of uncomfortable, I dont think Im even capable of eating it. * I concider it a healthy choice. And I believe it does less harm to the enviroment. * I dont need it, and I find vegetarian dishes more fun. How dull it may seem, I love beeing on a diet that actually requires me to plan what I eat in order to get enough proteins and stuff. Haha. * I cant stand animal cruelty. Again, Im not agaist killing animals, but I know that some places the animals are not treated right. And I dont know how you can find of weather your dinner comes from an animal that lived a good or bad life. * I hate the fact that we throw meat. Eating is fine, but I find It horrible that animals die for no reason. I never once tried talk someone into beeing a vegetarian, but I do tell people how I feel about them throwing away something that could have been living. * I like making my own choices, and I feel good about this one. * Its a very good test to potential bf`s. This boy I dated once refused to see me again after I told him. Saved me from dating a jerk, now thats not to bad for a diet. Yup, thats all.

1. It's basically more eco-friendly to not eat meat. Less meat-eaters = less meat farming, which is harder on the land and takes up more resources when you compare it to the output. (Obviously that's a bit oversimplified, and there are various plant crops that are more or less eco-friendly than each other, but generally it holds.) 2. I'm more against inhumane farming practices than the actual killing that comes at the end. 3. There were a few vegetarians in my family and immediate circle, so it was an easier decision for me to make. 4. It forces me to eat my veggies!
