Can anyone please explain in detail the "missionary position" I'm a missionary and my wife and I have about 80 or so different positions already, if it's something new and different, we want to try it out. Thanks, remember God created sex:-)

I'm not sure if this question is sincere or not, but I will assume you truly are unsure. Missionary is the most basic sexual position, and if you are doing 80 other positions chances are almost 100% that you've already done it. Description: Woman lies on her back with her legs apart and man lies on top facing her and enters her. usually the women then brings her knees up or wraps her legs around the man. It's considered the most intimate position as you are face to face, and also the most "common" way for women to achieve orgasms as it allows for reasonable deep penetration and comfort for the woman. On a side note it is also a position with one of the highest likely hoods for conception as the angle of her pelvis allows sperm to well up against her cervix - this is how the name was derived as it is considered the least heretical method by the christian church due to its utilitarian purposes for reproduction. I would say instinctively it's also the most common way anyone goes about sex the first few times they have it.

When missionaries first went into foreign fields and native peoples obseved them having intercourse they were amazed at the face to face positioning. Anglosaxons have to be the only race that linit themselve to this style. When questioned they refered to the white man sex as missionary position. That's it.
