Question

Help answer this question below.

I have a new LCD tv with VCR attached to it. Dvd's play fine. When I try to play a vhs tape, every few seconds there is a rainbow effect distortion kind of like copy protection happening. Is there a setting either on the tv or the vcr that needs changing?

yes what your experiencing is the copy protection
do not run your vcr through your dvd player (i am assuming) connect it directly to your tv through video, s-video ect....if you have it set up to record dvds on to vhs it wont work....the only way around that is to purchase a video enhancement box...you can get one online..
