  • No one had the concept of the trinity until the 4th Century at the Counsel of Nicea, so there was nothing to believe in. Um..except that Jesus was omnicient, so he knew all things that ever were and ever would be. So...he may have believed deep down in his heart, but none of his biographers made note that he mentioned it.
  • Jesus wasnt a jew. He was a true Catholic. jews did not believe in Holy Trinity. jews are and were wrong in knowing God. they believe God is one (1). christians believe the true belief; there are three divive persons/gods plus Mary the Mother.
  • Not until he took the blue pill and was freed from the matrix. At that point it was pointless to deny it, she was standing right there. I mean how would he feel if people still denied his existence if he was standing right there next to them. Jesus may have been Jewish, but he wasn't retarded.
  • The Trinity has never been a universal Christian belief. Not all sects of early Christianity preached about the Trinity, or believed in it. The Catholic Church made it official doctrine, and subsequently became the most powerful Christian sect. It spread far and wide due to Constantine and the Holy Roman Empire. Therefore, the belief in the Trinity is the most common Christian viewpoint, but it never has been the only one. Jesus himself said nothing about the Trinity.
  • At some point, I suspect Jesus believed in the Unity. The Trinity is a convenient concept to explain various functions of Unity as related to man's relations to God. This question requires speculation, so don't get doctrinal. Speculation is good for the gray matter. You can argue doctrine in another forum. Thanks.
  • Does he like the Matrix movies too? Nobody believes in Trinity more than Neo.
  • Of course he did he was/is part of it.
  • Well unless he didn't believe in himself.
  • I'd say no. Jesus was s great spiritual leader who was "christ-like". As Buddah, Krishna, and several others. But he was just a man.
  • Jesus was a Jew. He said the father was above him and that the father sent him. Why beat around the bush? Why not just say trinity? I think Jesus was saying he was like the father just like people say "oh he's just like his father".
  • i would think not and here's why .... the 3rd part of trinity, holy ghost, didn't exist until the resurrection so during jesus' life on earth there was no trinity to believe but he did know and acknowledge that he and his father were one and the same.
  • Who is the Son but the Father manifest in the flesh. 1Tm:3:16: And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. Jn:14:9: Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? ..And who is the Holy Spirit that anything spoken against it in the same manor spoken against the Son shall be forgiven by the Son yet not by the Holy Spirit? Mt:12:32: And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. Mt:28:19: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. ..And why is the Holy Ghost included here? Seems to be equal with God, yet God has no equal. So it must be God as well. I believe in the Trinity and I believe the titles describe the different functions of God. God the Father controls the universe. God the Son lives among His children & God the Holy Spirit is the executor of God's will. All are one and the same God. He's God. He could be zillion God's in One if He wanted... and if it was the perfect thing to do.
  • Only after watching The Matrix, then he was convinced.
  • Yes, Jesus did believe in the Trinity. Jesus, told the apostles to baptize "in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit." Jesus spoke of the Father, himself as the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit, who descended on the apostles on Pentecost Sunday.
  • This is an odd question: Jesus *was* part of the Trinity, of course he believed in it. He "made himself obedient to the Law" as a human because he was born as a Jewish man and he never sinned, but being God he had all these advantages we don't, like understanding how the Trinity works.
  • No, it wouldn't make sense. "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." John 17:3. These are words coming out of Jesus's mouth. If he was God, then he would be talking to himself.
  • God is ONE God is Jesus God is the Holy Spirit 3 different PERSONALITIES, MAKE up the Godhead...can't believe in 1, have to believe in all 3...that cannot be that hard...read John..it's soul purpose is to show us WHO GOD REALLY IS...with an open mind...God will be there if HE sees you are truly trying to UNDERSTAND..Bless you..
  • The new covendent.
  • Yes, He did. As part of the Trinity, he knew much that had not yet been revealed in detail to the Jewish people. but God had been hinting at its existence since the beginning.
  • Jesus is God manifested in the flesh. His body was made of the Word, His soul and Spirit IS God. Lord=Father Jesus=Son Christ=Holy Spirit These titles describe one God who chose His name, Jesus, to save man.
  • The trinity is an explanation by Christians of all the information about who God is from the bible. So Jesus understood who God is and therefore would in that sense believe the trinity. However the development of the teaching was clarified by mainstream Christians in response to 'attack' on the broadly eccepted truths which make up the Trinity'. The bible and jesus show us that The father is God, Jesus is God The Holy Spirit is God but that there is one God. It is the answer which deals with these individual biblical facts which ends up as 'Trinity'
  • jEsus said baptise them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Mathew 28v19 ONe name for THREE persons. Clearly an indicator that he knew this was indeed the nature of God.
  • He knew the truth behind what we understand as 'the trinity' although he may no have referred to it as that.
  • Jesus was neither jew nor gentile. He IS God.
  • I doubt not, since the trinity did not exist in Jesus's day... infact, most will argue that CE 325 is around the year that the first formulation of the trinity concept was articulated and written down.
  • its like a big urban myth!! This business of 325 ad. The 'trinity' wasn't even in discussion in 325 ad at the council of nicea, it was the relationship between the Father and Jesus. Long time before then Jesus was called 'God' ..in the pages on the New testament see John 20v28 but also by ignatius (100ad) tertulian, cyprian, origen and almost all the first few centuries of Christian leaders. In response to questionning and challenge of the accepted teachings the 'trinity' was formulated however all the components of the trinity are in the bible..anyone reading Matthew 28v19 would see this.
  • I believe that the trinity was solely made for political reasons in the Counsel of Nicea. During that time, Constantine was plagued with dealing with people who were divided in their belief of Christ. Eventually the term "trinity" was formed from this event. It was never a biblical term. Also Christ himself never proclaimed himself to be God. Even before he dies he warns the apostles to beware because people would distort the simplicity of his nature. He has always stated himself a man, the Son of God, but never ever stated that he was God.
