I don't think masturbation is bad, but if you rather masturbate than have sex with your husband then perhaps there is something you have to deal with. Sometimes it works for the best, once my wife got convinced that masturbation was good and she started doing it our sex life has improved a lot.

I think it is the perfect foreplay. If you keep yourself stimulated your going to want more and more. Knowing how to make your self come actually makes you a better lover. Also, your man would probably assist you, as long as your toy is not larger than him - he will feel inadequate.

I think "self pleasure" can be awesome for many reasons. It helps even things out, so to speak, when one partner wants more sex than the other, or when you just can't get together when you want to. Knowing your body and what pleases you is also a turn on--you can show him where to touch and how. Sometimes, if he just doesn't get you to the finish line despite his best efforts :-), you can take care of things while he watches (as long as you don't think he'll be offended--use your judgement for that).

The only rule I have with my wife is that i get to watch it when I can or she tells me she did it afterwards. After she started masturbating more, her instructions to me are more direct and precise. Gotta love a girl who knows what floats her boat.
