  • most of them singers do .Allot of them vocalists have there voice dubbed over and over but not all.Many bands sound just like there cds in concert and sound very good.Good example of someone having there voice dubber over is ozzy,he has his dubbed over like 10 times,but he is great in concert.
  • Well, you have to have some natural ability. It seems some singers of popular and rock-based music don't make the extra effort to develop their tone to what it could be. Of course you have some particularly good singers and some particularly bad. That being said, most professional singers have good natural talent. Now, often a rock singer does not need a particularly polished voice because the music does not center around the vocal tone as is true in barbershop, classical, vocal bands, etc. As far as modification, there can be extensive processing done, especially with recording. That has more to do with how polished they want the overall sound of the music to be. Some music sounds better with natural imperfections to create a more realistic sound.
