I would not consider this "normal", as children are usually frightened by such outward signs of sickness. A child may be interested out of curiosity, to see if the same happens for adults as with children, but is quite likely to be frightened if you actually do such a thing. It is not a habit one wants to teach to a child and it is probably better that it remains associated with sickness.
