  • I'm not Mormon; but I've read the Book of Mormon. Doctrine & Covenants, and the Pearl.(I'm not Hindu either; but I've also read the Mahabharata and the Bagavadghita). I like perspective.
  • I am not mormon, nor am i religious (i do believe in god though). I respect other peoples beliefs and religions.
  • I am currently an excommunicated member and happy to report I am in the process of gaining my membership back.
  • I'm not, but I have also seen a lot of questions about the religion and I have come to the conclusion that they are predominantly from a group of people who I can only describe as rabid anti-Mormons. There is a similar group of anti-Jehovaha's Witnesses and an equally voluble group of fundamental Christians who seem to be anti-pretty much everybody except themselves.
  • Not I, but I think it is in part a reaction to their increasing popularity in recent years.
  • I am not a Mormon ,But I love the saints.Many dear friends are LDS. I was baptized in the Mormon church. The Missionary kids have a special place in my heart.
  • I converted to LDS 3.5 years ago - best thing I ever did to have a reason to straighten up my wicked ways and hang with some devoted, decent people who live with a purpose and confidence. My conversion was the end of a lengthy quest for something meaningful in my life and in the universe. So many other things fell so short, and disappointed me until my LDS conversion. It worked for me.
  • True blue, through and through!
  • My ex-girlfriend and an ex-Answerbagger was a Mormon. Maybe she is still around.
  • It's because there are so many false doctrines it raises many questions.
  • I am a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
  • I'm Mormon! Proud of it! And I've noticed a lot of questions about it too.
  • Maybe i can help on this question Mormons are 2% of the United States Population. 6 mil / 300 mil = 2% thats means 1 in 50 people are mormon in the United States for us poor in math. Also some States that have high percentages of mormons like utah have high Technology awareness. Meaning mormons are on the net. I'm grateful for this faith it has brought me closer to my saviour. Helped me understand what this life is all about and Helped me understand my relationship with my heavenly Father. If you want to know more wave down a pair of mormon missionaries they would love to help answer your questions in repectful, kind manner.

  • I'm a member, and I know of several other people who are too.
  • Huh… just noticed I never responded to this one. {Raises hand somewhat belatedly.}
  • The reason why you’ve noticed a lot of questions related to this religion is because there’s a lot of mystery surrounding some aspects of it’s beliefs and it’s intriguing people and people are by nature quite curious about others (or should that be quite critical?)
  • I am LDS too and can't imagine my life without the gospel of Jesus Christ! I am so grateful for it and the knowledge of family's being together forever :) It has comforted me so much in this time of my hubby being deployed in the US Army, because it is rough to have him away and to worry about it and prayer and the gospel has helped us both so much and God has given us a beautiful baby boy.
