Help answer this question below.

When i go on the ubuntu 6.10 screen and i restart my comp to go to windows xp "mode" and the windows xp thing loads but then theres a black screen. what am i doing wrong? oh and i still didnt install ubuntu completely yet.

This isn't really a tech forum, I think you would fare much better at http://groups.google.com/group/comp.os.linux.setup You will most likely have a number of questions as you begin to use Linux, google groups is the place for that. Good luck!
