Agreed! :D I appreciate those who put thier life on the line to serve our country very much!
-
huh? a good job at what?
-
what victory? And why is this asked under Al Qaeda?
-
There are British troops in Iraq too you know . We've lost our troops in Iraq.
-
I didn't know it was over?
-
Why do you ask such a question and under Al Qaida? The war in Iraq is not over and violence is as always. Our troops are not responsible for the victory or failure in Iraq, it is the government's policy that is either good or bad. Our troops only know that they will return in one peace, mutilated or in a casket. Please inform yourself as victory in Iraq is long from being achieved.

What do you define as a victory?
-
yes nothing more fine than killing 1000000 iraqi
-
Yes - they did a good job....but I take no "pride" in the waging of that unnecessary war.

I find it unfortunate that you have stated your question in such an inaccurate and inflamatory way. . I believe the vast majority of COALITION troops in Iraq have done a fine job and we should be proud of them. . At the same time: 1) there has been no victory, 2) a small MINORITY of soldiers has acted more like what we should be fighting against than for. This should by no means reflect on those who have not, but a blanket statement "whe are proud", for me, is then not possible. 3) frankly i am not proud of much of what went on with Iraq, on the ground and the apparent falsification of informatin to go in in the first place. This is not the fault of the soldiers but of our governments, but sitll makes it impossible for me to bne proud of our soldiers being there or some of what hey have done, even if I am proud of the way most have deprted themselves.
-
Proud of our troops? Yes. They did the best they could with the army they had. BUT: Al-Qaeda had nothing to do with Iraq. NO WMD's have been found, even Bu$h admitted such. And REAL patriots are still dying in Iraq over the non-existent WMD even now. I'm not proud of those who got the country into another Vietnam.
-
What victory exactly? We went in to secure American safety and what do we have to show for it? 4,369 Americans dead and 31,572 injured(I could give you coalition totals but we know you don't care about anyone else). Over 7 hundred billion dollars wasted, al-Qaeda with more troops than ever before, Bin Laden still at large, and no WMDs destroyed. So exactly what victory are you talking about? . And as a former Marine who was stationed in Iraq, I think we did as great a job as soldiers can do, but Iraq wasn't a military problem, so it can't be a military solution.

Ain't over yet and the people behind the throne really screwed up and the troops are paying the price, I served in the Military Vietnam era got screwed then and now,is this the reason? http://www.rense.com/general14/bushsformer.htm

Bullshit! Everybody in the military prior to 9/11 were there for a JOB and a paycheck. The reserves were in for the retirement benefits. Then our hijacked government sent these unsuspecting government employees to hell for the interests of a few high powered individuals. If these employees come home in the same shape as when they left that that will be the victory.
-
What did we win?
-
No there just wasting a shot load of money and time and 1,000s of people are dead each day. I find it a waste of time.
-
Victory? What are you smoking?
-
Yes, the mistake was staying there. +5

Damn right we are proud, we Americans are just a proud bunch of folks especially when it comes to our miltiary.......victory will never be in Iraq but not because of the Armed Forces.......its the politicans of both there and here that will gain no victory....NOT THE FINE MEN AND WOMEN OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA...these men and women always give 110%, they shed their blood for us and I for one am proud to call them Brothers and Sisters...So proud of the troops you bet your ever loving ass we are!!!!
