Why else did the customer complain?

Tell them a customer recommended you for career advancement to your former employer? Unless the application specifically asked if you were ever terminated I would leave it at a start and end date for that job. If asked why I left I would say that there was a misunderstanding with your employer about job requirements.

I think I answered this question for you before. You are or have collected unemployment which means they did not wnat to argue that you were fired for cause. Simply state that the company was cutting back and you were one of the ones there the least amount of time, at least as far as you knew.

Try and politely talk with your old supervisor and ask if they would consider giving you a reference, any one will do as long as it's not a bad one. Unless I have to fire a complete a**hole, I don't want to ruin their career, I will give them a ref. just not a glowing one. Just because they didn't work out in my company, doesn't mean that they won't do better somewhere else
