  • yes, i have heard this before.
  • I own 5 different Tarot decks and I bought them all for myself. I don't believe the superstition that says they have to be given to you. I have been reading Tarot for about 12 or 13 years, and have no trouble at all with my decks. Friends that I have read for all report accuracy at times and at other times I seem to be off the mark. It has more to do with me and the spiritual state I'm in than it does the physical cards. There are some people who won't let other people touch their decks. That's another superstition. There are plenty more, too. The superstitions are missing the point. The cards themselves don't hold the meaning or the "magic." That lies in the reader knowing the basic meanings behind the images and in being able to follow intuition.
  • Not true. It is better if you choose and buy your own cards. Keep them is a special little bag or wrapped in a favourite scarf or a pretty piece of material. Don‘t lend them to anyone. You are the only one who should use them as they become more effective with use.
  • I've been told that too. I have many decks. And the most accurate one is one I bought myself.
  • I have a friend who is wiccan and she got me started in tarot when I was a teen. She told me that it is best to pick your own as you will be drawn to the deck that is right for you. Then you bless them and keep them somewhere special (I always used a scarf that was a treasured childhood toy).
