How does your news coverage work? Do some states cover the whole state? Where ours breaks it down a few counties at a time?

The local news stations are out of Boston, but I avoid the nightly news at all costs. I gots me a puter to lern stuff.

What county do you live in, Sara? I live in LA county and most of our stations (e.g. NBC) seem to have a reporter for most of our adjacent areas: Ventura county; Orange county; the Inland empire which includes San Berdoo and Riverside counties; but not Kern county.

I don't really watch much local news, but it seems to focus on Manhattan and then hits the rest of the boroughs

Hawaii local news covers the island of Oahu because that is the island I am on but they have a portion for each of the islands. If the news is big enough they cover that first no matter what island.

I live in southern New Mexico about 30 miles from the Texas border. We don't have any local television stations other than the PBS station throught the university. Our regional news is covered by most of the El Paso stations. We might get some coverage in Albuquerque, but we don't get Albuquerque channels through our cable system.
