Answerbag does have a flag approval system isn't it? How did they approve that flag??
-
wow amazing. I think it is wrong.

At the bottom of this page is a "Feedback" link. Use it to communicate with the AB staff. They really do listen.
-
I cant believe that.. why would anyone flag a question like that?? unbelievable.
-
I agree completely with you. Absolutley disgusting.

Interesting. It WAS a question and contained nothing offensive that I could find. A simple question asking if others would pray for a fellow AB member in dire straights. The only possible thing I could find that one might take as offensive is a request for prayer. But then, people may simply move on somewhere else if this bothers them. In light of that, and the sensitive topic (a member who suffered a heart attack), I would think some consideration would be given for this, regardless of whether or not someone really thought it offensive. What an impression to make on a person here on AB who posted such a thing about their father. I've submitted a feedback requesting they reconsider this.

I think if a user has an issue with their question getting flagged, they should be the ones to take it up with AB-Staff. asweetguy is still around and if he had a problem with this, I am sure he would have contacted the AB-Staff or a CL. He has my e-mail address and knows he can contact me. No, all such questions will not be flagged. Did it occur to anybody that the user is now listed as Anonymous which it was not before? Perhaps asweetguy was a little embarrassed about all the attention, as some users are, and asked that it be flagged. I have had people ask me plenty of times to remove questions that they were a bit red in the face over even if they were harmless and well meaning such as this one. Not that I can remove them, but. . .I am aware of situations where this happens. Just a thought.

Good question. I wish I knew. I'm still relatively new here as far as interacting with Admin. and trying to wade through the user moderation of the site. (I believe it to be the wrong way to conduct business) I intend to research these matters thoroughly and then contact "the powers that be" to see if the members here have any recourse when things happen that most users disagree with. Wish me luck. I seriously doubt they really care one way or the other. (I suspect it's all about the benjamins baby)

I don't see any problem with the question, which leads me to believe that it was done on asweetguy's request, as Andy has suggested, or that it was determined that it was a hoax designed to attract attention by a sockpuppet. I'd think the first case is most likely.

He should go to feedback and explain why he thinks it shouldnt have been flagged, or speak to a CL, they will reinstate it. There are some that get flagged by spiteful people, you just have to fight back.

Maybe because they dont want people posting untrue things about other members? If it is true I hope he will recover and that his family is OK as well
