I consider myself a Democrat; however, I have voted for Republicans, Indepenents, etc. Just whomever I think is the best person for the position.
-
I'm registered as republican, but vote based on one's principle's/views. Voted for Obama, sincerely wish we'd abolish our corrupted 2-party system.
-
I'm usually unenrolled, but have to enroll with the party I'm voting for in presidential elections. I vote for whomever I think fits my ideal the greatest.

My state doesn't require party registration, I have voted for candidates of both mainstream parties and the Reform Party in the past. Unless something fundamentally changes in it, I cannot foresee voting for a Republican ever again. They have jumped the shark.
-
I tend to lean towards the conservative republican, BUT I do my research on both candidates and vote for who I think will do a better job. I don't understand the people who vote stratight republican or straight democrat. That is like saying one party is better than the other.
-
I do research before I vote! I personally would have Loved to see Ron Paul on the ticket this year!! :( But I had to vote on my morals! I don't have to register in my state.
-
I am a registered Republican, but I do not vote straight ticket. I vote for the person who I believe best fits. I research each person and see who best reflects the same beliefs as me.
-
I'm an independent and vote for the best qualified person. I tend to vote republican because they seem more reasoned and less emotionally driven...but not always.

I don't believe in the Party System. I think it is the downfall of our country. Americans are too competitive by nature and they all too often vote for 'their' party regardless whether the person running for office is the best person for the job or not. I firmly believe in: "United we stand, Divided we fall" ...(and fail) I did not vote for Bush when he was elected..but I wished him the best after he was elected and would not have said anything bad about him because I want only good for the country I live in. However, I did not vote for Obama when he was elected, either, he is too liberal for me. BUT, now that he has been elected everyone needs to work together to show that we are united as a country. People need to meet in the middle. Not be so liberal and not so conservative...compromise. All this nit pick'ing is tearing this country apart.

I vote for the best candidate. It just so happens that I think it's usually the Republican.
