I got a Hurricane Katrina missing persons page with that person (they have been found since then)

An artist who makes rather interesting sculptures

    A Lawyer

A girl who writes up reviews for bands in a magzine (forgot what site)... sounds like something I would do ahah.

And "a professional blogger," whatever that is. I'm not sure how it can be a profession... but good for them.

Yes, I do this every so often, just to make sure that no personal information about me (bank account number, etc.) appear on the Net. There are several others who have my name, and then there are about 5 listings of me from professional organizations, but so far my identity has not been stolen - or at least, it has not been broadcast over the Net.

I also check out other relatives' names every so often, like my parents, to check for the same thing.

With my maiden name I found old newspaper and TV interviews about me.
With my username I found me on myspace, AB, Jokaroo and surprisingly my email address!
With my married name I found all there is to know about the Long Island Lolita!!
    Funny!

I googled my name and here are a few things I came up with:

I'm the managing Director of UEN (Urban Enterprise Network. -- Thats my pic below(the other me lol)

I also am the senior manager for GLE (Greater London Enterprise)

    I'm a firefighter with AFL-CIO local 60 union.

Also work with BTEG (Black Training & Enterprise Group)

I found some tech forums I posted in and it showed my email address!

    Located my Yahoo! 360 account

I live in Decatur, Alabamba and I'm the surviving stepbrother of Laurie Mitchell who died on March 28, 2006 at the age of 43.

I found my classmates.com Highschool profile.

I was caught transferring £31 million to a swiss zurich account while working at National Westminster Bank in London and did so because two underworld figures approached me and I was afraid of what might happen if I refused. (OMFG)

I work for JetStar Records (cool!)

Member of AHSLEA (Australian Hide, Skin, & Leather Exporters Assoc.)

I'm an 8 year old on South Middleton Swim Team in Pennsylvania.

Arrested for possession of cocaine and bail jumping in Washington state.

Field Officer for NPCA (National Possum Control Assoc.) in New Zealand.

This one is wierd: Found an obituary for Gilbert T. Lennon, who was predeceased by his two sons James and Jeffrey. Thats my brother and my names...creepy. :)

There are plenty more but way too many to list. Apparently my name is very popular, especially in England, even though I'm not english! :)

    And type in:

"(your name here) got arrested for"

    Example:

    "nicole got arrested for"
    "donna got arrested for"
    "jimmy got arrested for"

make sure you put the " before and after the sentence, it comes up with some WEIRD things!

I appear to of wrote books about allotments, I'm a baton twirler, a winner of a photograph, a rather weird doll, a flapper, numerous depressing looking people who all look the same and are wearing tiaras, a cat, a law firm, a place for transvestites and transexuals, a maze, a gallery, a deamon, a french saint, a singer (scottish singer), a philosopher, a charity, a steak house, a shopoholic, a potter, a poet, a professional escort, a goddess, a character on a Radio 4 soap, designer lingerie, computer software, and something on askmen.com

    Blimey, thats quite a lot!

I have found my name used by roleplayers who were playing a space captain, a zombie, a vampire, another space captain, and something else. These do not bother me.

I found one that had me infuriated to the point where I joined the website to get a message to the admin to take it down. Of course, I never got a reply. Here is the story:

I was online briefly in 2000. I returned online in 2005. I googled myself to find that not only had I been role played in 2003, they role played ME by NAME and physical description. This was straight out identity theft.

I still do not know who the person was that role played me. S/he obviously knew me IRL because s/he had how I WALKED down pat and a very good approximation of my SPEECH patterns.

Before anyone says this is flattery... think about it.

Oh, there are various people with my name from various countries as well. None of them are English so I do not know anything about them.

I have stalkers and they have role played me since 2005 to defame me but they are not the creepy one. The one from 2003 was a bit frightening.

There is also a well-known horse with my name.

Oh sure. I come from a family of achievers and the names of my relatives came up along with references to them. On the other hand the biggest "and unpleasant" surprise to learn that there exists an Italian-sounding website that used our surname. We have Spanish blood but not Italian.

Incidentally, the question should read "Has anyone googled THEIR own name..." Common mistake. No offense intended.
