  • From what I understand - bananas do not contain iron. They contain potassium, and the levels don't change from what I know. Green bananas have more starch, which truns into sugar as they ripen, but I really have not heard of the iron issue. Foods do lose nutrients as they age as the compounds react with each other, and the environment and they change.
  • This is what I found online! Anemia High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia
