Most of my classmates at school are allowed to watch Family Guy whenever they want, although my parents don't usually let me. They are also allowed to play Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, but my parents only let me play GTA3. What should I do about this?

the reason being they don't think the content appropriate ? well you'll have to reason with them. concerning FG, I'd try to logically prove to them that sheltering one from certain content does not protect, only encourages ignorance, but it's a tough argument if you're not used to this stuff... and why can't you play GTASA if you can play GTA3 ? it's almost exactly the same, "bad stuff" wise... give me a little inf, mebbe I can help ya :)

You should thank them for caring about your mind and the influences that come into your life. Then, if you want to grow into some more of these choices for yourself, you should demonstrate an ever-increasing maturity, starting with graciously accepting the direction they are giving you without complaining, following their rules, going the extra mile with responsibilities, getting your very best grades, and impressing the socks off of them. I had friends growing up who had no supervision at all in their lives. Their parents were not necessarily doing them any favors.

my parents dont really car but i have a friend thats parents are exactly the same unless his sister can do it. by the ways shes only 5. Anyways. it just makes me so mad because the kid won't have any social life when he grows up if his parents will no let him go to parties and such. It's something i'll definitly think about when i'm a parent.
