If the job that I love pays sufficiently, I would take that one but if that particular job simply does not pay enough to take care of my kids no matter how much I stretch it, I would take the other one.

if you don't love your job, you will be miserable at home and at work but children are expensive. so that would be a tough call to make. I would probably take the job I love as long as I made enough to make ends meet and provide for them. I think kids get too much today.Kids seem to think if they don't have all the latest gadgets and MP 3 players and name brand clothes that they are not loved. I may not be able to buy my kids all the fancy things they want but at least I wouldn't be in a bad mood all the time from doing a job I hated.

Take the job that you love. Life is too short to spend 30% or more of it doing something that you don't like.

I take the job I love. If you enjoy your job, you're a lot happier overall, and you'll be a better parent. Actually, my husband is in this situation currently, and is looking to change to a job he'd actually like. I may have to get a part time job to make up a little of the difference, but I'd rather have him enjoy his job than come home complaining most every day like he does about how irritating his job is.
