Answer to:
Do most men like the smell of vagina?
I think it's like putting your tongue on a 9 volt battery. It's unpleasant but there's some strange irresistible force drawing you to it.
I think most men tell their partners they like it because if they said "EEEWWW, I'm not going down on THAT!!! It smells like dead fish that have been left on the wharf all day in the sun!", they wouldn't get any sex so...

Answer to:
Do you use a wireless network?
Yes, I use wireless under Sun Microsystems Solaris, OpenBSD and Windows. When I was younger, I was somewhat involved in war driving, but being a whitehat, I never did any harm and always left 'calling cards', informing the network administrators of their network's security flaws. Amazing how so many of them never did anything to fix the problems!!!

It means your grammar is atrocious. You won't have a baby (or another period) until you go back to school and learn proper English!
You're just late. Stress (and poor grammar) can cause that!

If someone has your IP address can they discover your street address?
If
1) you're using your own account you've got with your ISP;
2a) you've given your ISP your real name and address;
and/or
2b) you dial in from your home phone;
3) haven't spoofed your IP address;
4) the law enforcement agency has a legal reason for
wanting the information from your ISP;
it's a simple matter. It doesn't matter if you've got a...

I have had 5 wireless laptops within the last 3 months. After I get them home and set them up I get a virus. I've had my IP out and my techs and the police out and I still can't find out whats going on. Can you help me?
All 5 computers infected? Pretty consistent strike rate don't you think?
"Set them up"? Are you installing the same software packages each time? Perhaps one of these apps is infected.
If you've got another Windows machine on the network and it's infected, depending on what you do, your laptops may be being infected by this machine but to get a virus, an...
Answer to:
I used to change my ip address simply by restarting my wireless router, now it seems I can't, anybody know why?
There's a good chance you haven't been given a static IP address as ISP's tend to charge for this, so we'll say you've got a dynamically assigned IP address. Dynamic IP addresses given out by your ISP have a thing called a lease life and it's usually pretty short.
In the days of 'dial-up' people were connecting and disconnecting far more frequently....
Answer to:
If all class C addresses should start with the bit pattern 110, why does my IP address (given by my ISP) start with 80?
You're a bit confused. You're mixing up the difference between the decimal representation of an IP address and it's binary form.
When people say a class C network address starts with 110, they're talking about it's binary representation. Class C network addresses are part of the private address space and are described in RFC 1918. Class C network addresses start with...
Answer to:
What is IP?
The actual question was "What is IP". Not "What is an IP address". If you wanted to know what an IP address is, then it's been answered but if you actually wanted to know what IP is, then read on:
Internet Protocol (IP) provides the basic delivery mechanism for packets of data sent between all systems on an internet. All other protocols in the TCP/IP suite depend on...
Answer to:
When I display full headers in received emails, how do I tell which IP address the computer was using when the email was sent? There are several different IP addresses listed after "Received."
maddock's pretty much right except for X.400 being SMTP. As with most ISO standards dealing with application-level networking, X.400 failed to compete successfully with SMTP, the Internet-based equivalent.
Lookup "The Battle Between SMTP and X.400"
Answer to:
Where an i find a completely free program that fakes my ip address?
Why do you want to hide your true IP address? There are usually two reasons for this. Either you're ill informed and unreasonably paranoid or you're planning on doing stuff you ought not be doing. Don't do that!

Answer to:
Why do hackers like breaking into innocent peoples computers?
People who break into other people's computers without permission aren't hackers. Quite often, they're what's known as script kiddies with no technical talent whatsoever. I don't call them hackers. Criminals, thieves and a few other names I can't mention here but not hackers.
Hackers are people who are interested in how things work. They like to pull things,...

Ethereal has now changed its name to Wire Shark. What's the difference?
Ethereal had problems (vulnerability issues). Wireshark is the same but it looks more colourful to me. I love it. Much prettier than tcpdump (although I like tcpdump as well. Good to use over ssh).

Answer to:
In what type(s) of file format are there higher risks of getting viruses on your computer?
ALSO, watch out for macro viruses built into Word, excel, access etc. files. VBA is a very powerful, useful (and fun) language that can add HUGE value to a Word document but it can also be used to write some pretty wicked viruses.

Answer to:
If I received two different emails from two different people on the same network (i.e. both have Yahoo email accounts), and the "Received from" IP address is the same number, does that mean the two computers are on the same LAN?
Actually, if they're both using a yahoo account, they would come from the same or similar IP address because it would be Yahoo's mail servers that would be being used to send the email. The reason why it might have a slightly different IP address is because Yahoo and gmail and the like have a pool of mail servers and all of their mail servers would have similar IP addresses (around...

Answer to:
What is your IP address at the moment?
It's not that bigger deal to give out your IP address if you've locked things down tightly. I run a Web server and need to advertise my Web pages/URL on Google and the like for people to be able to find me. If I didn't, it would defeat the purpose of having a Web server set up in the first place. It wouldn't make much sense to set up a Web server and then try to hide it from...

I am looking for a software that i can use to track Wireless Access Points. I want to be able to drive around and scan constantly for Wireless AP's, and then put the results in a notepad file that shows SSID, Distance, Protection and so on.
It's called war driving - I wouldn't recommend you do it. It's wrong!
Answer to:
What situation doesn't necessarily cause a communication problem if a network protocol other than TCP/IP is installed on the local computer and other computers on the network?
You've worded your question rather strangely but there are many other protocols apart from TCP/IP that can be used on a private network including NetBEUI, Appletalk, IPX/SPX etc. BUT if you want your machines to talk with others on the Internet, you'll need to use TCP/IP. It's free and it's THE BEST.
Answer to:
What is TCP/IP?
TCP/IP is a suite of protocols. It's made up of literally hundreds of protocols, each has their own job to do like FTP is File Transfer Protocol and takes care of file transfers (although other protocols can also be used for that). HTTP is Hypertext Transfer Protocol and it's job is to get Web pages to your browser BUT TCP/IP is named after the two main protocols in the suite. TCP...

My ISP assigns my home network a dynamic IP. How then does every computer on my home network have its own IP as well?
It's called NAT (Network Address Translation). Look it up - and indeed, it is extremely clever stuff.
Answer to:
I have configured my internet connection with some static ip address.And when i go to www.whatismyip.com it shows the same ip address.Is it possible for me to connect my computer from internet.I run http service.I want people to visit my website.
Okay, there are several issues here and we'll tackle them one at a time:
1. Your IP address;
2. Your need for a domain name;
3. Accessing your server on port 80 from outside;
4. Getting people to find you;
(1 and 2 are sort of linked)
1. Your IP Address:
It sounds like you've got a dynamic IP address (which can change from time to time) but that doesn't matter...

Why does my cat lick my hand right after biting me?
Who knows what's in a cat's mind when they do what they do? All I know is from what I've experienced, there are two different kinds of biting.
There's the unmistakable 'Keep away' kind that's usually accompanied with the swishing tail, the fast movements and finishes with the cat fleeing. There's no mistaking what that bite's all about
and then...
