How do you get respect from older brothers and sisters?

    That's a tough one. As an older brother myself, I have to admit respecting your younger siblings is hard, especially while they're still young.

    I love my little brothers to bits mind you, but they're still at an age where it's very hard to fully repect them at an intellectual and emotional level.

    So I don't know, you could give it time I suppose, that would probably work, but I suspect you want something a little more immediate. That's hard to do though, I think most older siblings (or myself at least) are a little reluctant to dole out their respect.

    Not knowing anything about you, it's hard to come up with suggestions. Perhaps you need to become less self-absorbed, or maybe take interest in things that your older siblings like.

    Remember, respect is something you have to earn, not a right.

    • Always be nice to them (with a smile) and show them that they can't bother you. Even if you have to go somewhere and scream or punch something.
