Help answer this question below.
A psychological dependency is a dependency to a substance (for example) that is not physically addictive. I.e.- Something that is physically addictive such as alcolhol, will give a person physical withdrawal symptoms (such as shaking) and to stop the withdrawal symptoms the person will need to consume more alcohol. A person who is alcohol dependent is at serious health risks if they suddenly stop drinking alcohol, and often need to weaned off to minimise physical withdrawal symptoms. Whereas a pshycholical dependency will display no signs of physical withdrawal, but mental withdrawal syptoms such as depression and anxiety can be very much present. Physical and pshychological dependency are equally as hard to break and sometimes people have a physical and psychological dependency which is obviously even harder to break.
