    Helena Dolder became first female sherriff of Dekalb County in 1928. Also back in the 19th century there was Belle Starr who was a female Outlaw of the wild west.

    • 1928 isn't exactly the wild west as for belle starr most "cowboy" followers no the history wasn't it barbara stanwyck who played the part?

    • looks like we both got it wrong according to imbd.com it was Gene Tierney c1941 Belle Starr "the movie"
