What's the best over the counter cure for an ear infection?

    That depends if it is an inner, middle, or outer ear infection. Outer ear infections (swimmers ear) are generally not serious and can be treated at home. Middle and inner ear infections can lead to hearing loss and can even spread to the brain. They need antibiotics but you can still use the otc drops for pain relief. If you don't have insurance you can try the local county hospital. Where I live they even have an urgent care center so you don't have to spend all day in the er.

    • i dont think you had ever had swimmers ear.but, i have. its hurts MUCH more then the other ear infections. which i currently have.
